Welcome. I am Kathi - artist, mother, mindfulness practitioner and potter from Berlin.

My path has led me to a life characterized by stillness, closeness to nature and creative expression.

With my work, I want to create spaces in which people can encounter themselves - through shaping clay, conscious breathing and experiencing the present moment. My art is created in mindful moments and carries the message of calm, clarity and inner peace.

In this course, I invite you to slow down — to arrive gently, with your hands in the clay.
You don’t need prior experience, just a bit of curiosity and the willingness to feel, to explore, to create.

We will shape simple, beautiful forms with ancient techniques, and along the way, you’ll learn to trust your own rhythm. I’ll guide you through each step — not just with instructions, but with space to breathe, to notice, and to connect.

This is more than a pottery course.
It’s an invitation to return to your hands, to the earth, and to yourself.

Q&A

Is this course suitable for complete beginners?

Yes, absolutely. All techniques are explained clearly and slowly, with space to pause and try things out in your own rhythm. You don’t need any prior experience — just an openness to learn and explore.

What materials and tools do I need?

In the course you will find a complete guide to materials and tools. Most of them can easily be replaced with items you already have at home — and I offer suggestions for alternatives throughout. Above all, your most important tools are your hands and your attention.

Do I need a kiln?

No. The course focuses on techniques and shaping. You can follow along with air-drying clay or explore natural drying at your own pace. Firing is not required until later and this can also be done at any firing studio in your area.

How long do I have access to the course?

Once you purchase the course, it’s yours — no expiration, no time pressure. You can return to it again and again, whenever you need inspiration, calm, or creative reconnection.

Is this a live course?

This is a pre-recorded, self-paced course. It’s designed to be a quiet space you can visit anytime. You’ll feel gently guided throughout — as if sitting beside me in the studio.

What language is the course in?

The course is in English. My voice and instructions are warm, clear, and intentionally paced to support an international audience.

What makes this course different from other pottery classes?

This is not just a class to learn handbuilding — it’s a space to reconnect. Mindfulness, creative intention, and the beauty of imperfection are woven throughout. You’re not only learning to shape clay — you’re invited to meet yourself through the process.
